An Introduction

Hey guys, my name is Zach Caruso, and I’m a Journalism major at Rowan University.  I actually started my college career as a Radio/TV/Film major, later switching to journalism after realizing my true passion was writing, though film still comes in a close second.  I’ve taken a handful of film classes here at Rowan and have been exposed to a variety of off-beat and innovative movies, as well independent films, which is where my interest in these types of movies first began.  Titles like Eraserhead and the Dogme Films really opened my eyes to a whole different style of filmmaking.  It will be my goal with this blog to share with you reviews, thoughts, and feelings on a variety of independent films.  I’m by no means an expert in the field of movie reviews, but I hope that my take on each film will at least give you a jumping off point, and hopefully allow you to stumble across some titles you may not have seen before.
